Change in Na cell operation

Copy/paste of Matt Pearson's comment at 01:57:35 on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the ISAC e-Log regarding the new mode of operation of the Na cell.

Following the latest Na cell excursion at around 10:30am and in consultation over the 'phone with Phil it was decided to change the mode of operation of the cell. It is now being run in a constant power mode instead of attempting to regulate the reservoir temperature via an external feedback loop. Therefore ILE2:RESEVR is in LOC mode with the set point at 90 <<snip>>. This is no longer a temperature set point but instead sets the duty cycle of the heater. Over the past hour this has resulted in a trap temperature that sits between 114 and 116 degrees C. Ideally when the next excursion occurs this mode should prevent any form of overshoot and the system will recover without the need for external intervention.
