--obsolete-- ILE2:FG16 Malfunctioning
Date: Aug 7, 2008
Standard procedure for bringing polarized 8Li to bNMR to be used, except the helium flow controller ILE2:FG16 is not controllable. It is stuck at 1.23 sccm, which is higher than optimum but we should be able to run. The helium pump ILE2:TP15E has been reduced to 1000liter/sec model, so vacuum pressures in that chamber will be higher than normal. I can be paged at 604-645-0027 if there are problems.
Rene's comment:
Phil says the higher He density will somewhat increase scattering and reduce transmission slightly.
